As Director of the Office of Professional Standards, Ayana oversees internal investigations and addresses allegations of professional misconduct and criminal activity involving departmental employees. She is also responsible for conducting pre-employment and truth verification examinations for officer applicants.

Ayana began her career with the State of Georgia in 1999 and has been with the Department of Community Supervision since its inception. Before joining DCS, she worked at the Georgia Department of Corrections. Throughout her career, Ayana has contributed to several key departmental initiatives, including the development of a Career Planning Tool and the implementation of DCS Virtual Agents.

Among her professional accomplishments, Ayana is a member of the Georgia Professional Association of Community Supervision and the American Probation and Parole Association. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Spelman College and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University. Additionally, she has completed several leadership training programs, including the Corrections Leadership Institute and the Institute for Credible Leadership Development.
