Strategic Planning & Research

The Strategic Planning & Research division is responsible for researching DCS's population and programs to identify current trends and ensure program integrity. Data analysis and research efforts are combined to make effective,  data-driven decisions to identify key performance indicators, inform policy, educate stakeholders, reduce recidivism, and ensure best and evidence-based practices. Strategic Planning & Research collaborates with executive leadership and other divisions to develop the agency’s strategic plan and monitor key performance indicators. The Strategic Planning & Research division supports the enhancements and expansions of Department programs and operations through soliciting, selecting and monitoring grant-funded projects that promote the overall mission of DCS.

The statistics and reports presented in this section expand all divisions of the Georgia Department of Community Supervision.
