He holds an Associate’s Degree from Augusta Technical College and continues to apply his education and training to strengthen public safety throughout the community. In addition to his duties as Sheriff, he also serves as Assistant Fire Chief of the Gibson–Glascock County Fire Department, reflecting his lifelong dedication to service.

Sheriff Kelley is an active member of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association and has held leadership positions including President of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes and Region 6 Vice President. His leadership emphasizes integrity, accountability, and strong community partnerships, ensuring the citizens of Glascock County receive professional and compassionate service.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Sheriff Kelley is a devoted husband and proud father of two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys coaching travel softball and investing in the growth and development of young athletes, both on and off the field.
