Lori Massengale
Executive Operations Director
Lori has served the State of Georgia since 2006 and has been with DCS since the Department’s inception. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles in External Affairs and Training & Professional Development, providing her with a broad understanding of the Department, its workforce, and its mission. Prior to joining DCS, she served in various capacities with the Georgia State Board of Pardons & Paroles.
Throughout her career, Lori has demonstrated a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, developing and advancing initiatives that strengthen the workforce, enhance organizational effectiveness, and support the evolving needs of public safety. Her notable contributions have been recognized through an Innovation Award and Employee of the Year recognition.
Lori holds a Master’s degree in Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University and is a graduate of Georgia’s Law Enforcement Command College. She is a Certified P.O.S.T. Master Instructor with certifications in firearms, use of force, defensive tactics, emergency vehicle operations, emergency medical, and health and wellness. She is also a national instructor for Axon International and Mental Health First Aid.
Lori is actively involved in the Association of Women Executives in Corrections, American Probation & Parole Association, and Georgia Professional Association of Community Supervision. She also serves on the Governor’s Public Safety Award Committee and the Crisis Intervention Team Advisory Board.
