Michelle Stanley is the Director of Reentry Services. In this role, Michelle oversees various programs and initiatives designed to reduce recidivism. Prior to her current position, Michelle served the Department as the Deputy Director of Field Operations for Reentry Services where she oversaw the Georgia Prisoner Reentry Initiative and as the Director of Juvenile Services where she assisted with the transition of Class A Designated Felons from the Department of Juvenile Justice. Prior to joining the Department, Michelle served for twenty-one years in various capacities with the Department of Juvenile Justice to include Director of Operations for the Division of Community Service, Division Office Director, Assistant Office Director, Assistant District Director, Program Manager, Transition Counselor, Juvenile Probation/Parole Officer Senior, and Juvenile Probation/Parole Officer. Her career in state government began as a Caseworker Sr. with the Division of Family and Children Services in 1995. Michelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia College and State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is a P.O.S.T Certified IT Instructor and is a member of the American Probation and Parole Association, American Correctional Association, Georgia Professional Association of Community Supervision and Georgia Juvenile Services Association.
