ATLANTA - DCS has announced several upcoming training dates for 'I Choose Support' mentoring program. The 'I Choose Support' mentoring movement is a faith and community based mentoring program which involves community volunteers providing support and guidance to returning citizens. Individuals who have successfully completed supervision under the criminal justice system can also choose to support in this effort.

This training is set to include an overview of the volunteer program, key mentoring skills and qualities, code of ethics, overview of procedures, and other tools essential to successfully mentor returning citizens. Upon completing this training, you will be eligible to receive a volunteer ID required to access Georgia correctional facilities and Day Reporting Centers.

Interested in becoming a volunteer? We invite you to attend our 'I Choose Support' training, where our Mentor Coordinator will walk you through what it takes to be an effective mentor to our returning citizens.
